Dr Obonna's Surgery

The community midwife provides antenatal and postnatal care on a weekly basis. Once your pregnancy is confirmed your doctor will refer you to the midwife, you will need to give your contact details to reception so the midwife can contact you to arrange an appointment. Your care is shared with the local hospital and they will look after you when in labour. Your midwife, who is part of a team could also be involved in your delivery as they cover hospital duties on a rotational basis. The midwife will visit you at home after delivery with a follow up by the health visitor.
